Janet L. Killingsworth, CPA - Founder and Managing Partner

Janet was born in Selma, AL. Her father worked with the TVA as a Construction Foreman, she and her parents travelled quite a bit throughout the South as she was growing up. She knew in the 10th grade that she wanted to be a CPA. She graduated from Belmont University (Honors) in Nashville, TN. She moved to Atlanta in 1985 to work with Halligan & Associates, CPAs. She loved working on the more challenging tax cases with clients and Tony Halligan realized very quickly that she could explain complicated tax problems and solutions to clients so that they felt at ease. After Tony's death, She founded her own firm to continue working with her clients as their business enterprises prospered. Her practiced has grown steadily over the years, and now she loves bringing on new talented accounting professionals to teach them to become better accountants and CPAs. Her keen eye for detail has made a huge difference in her ability to grown the practice. She is a voracious reader and she loves to travel.

Lynn Spencer - Accountant - CFO - Equity Partner of Killingsworth Spencer, LLC

Lynn hails from Detroit, MI. She graduated from Wayne State University (Honors) with a degree in Accounting. She began her career in Accounting, and then got married and had children. She was a stay at home mom until her kids got into high school. She came highly recommended to us by a the friend of a client. She started out with us in Admin. but her true skill sets came to the forefront almost immediately. She demonstrated her ability to do QuickBooks and have full client contact. She was able to pick up where she left off on her accounting skills within a few weeks. Lynn's job is make sure "all the trains run on time" around here.

Judy Bernhard - CPA - Principal

Judy Bernhard was raised in Baton Rouge, LA. We affectionately refer to her as the "Ragin Cajun" because of her tenacity and passion to help her clients get the very best advice. Judy doesn't waste her client's time, she gets to the point, and people appreciate her bluntness after they get to know her. She is a graduate of LSU (Honors) with a Master's of Tax degree. She was such a good student that she was asked to stay and teach accounting classes for a while. She has been with Janet since 2004, and she too can explain complex tax matters in a way that is easy for the lay person to understand. Judy is the face of our IRS and state tax resolution practice. In her spare time Judy loves to cook, and work in her flower garden.
